We are proud to announce a new update of "Alloy - Launcher and Automator". This update greatly improves Code Complete, introduces action's Input Arguments, improves Pinned Favorites, provides basic support of IFTTT etc.
Here is detailed list of new features, improvements and fixes:
Code Complete
Alloy now includes improved presentation of variables and properties using popovers. By default, if there are lots of variables or properties, they will be replaced by single button, which triggers showing convenient popup list of variables or properties. In popover, it is possible to get help for a variable's or property's type by pressing the "Help" button.
It is possible to change behaviour of popovers via the "Settings | General | Popups for Variables and Properties". The following options are available:
- Automatic: popups will be shown only if number of variables or properties are relatively high.
- Always: popups will be always shown, disregarding number of variables or properties.
- Never: popups will never be used. This option corresponds pre 1.7.1 behaviour.
Improved pinned Favorites
Alloy now includes ability to manage all pinned Favorites via the "Settings | Favorites | Manage Pinned Favorites". A new "Settings | Favorites | Sort Automatically" option allows to control how Pinned Favorites should be sorted. If "Sort Automatically" option is OFF - Pinned Favorites can be re-ordered manually.
"Input Arguments" for Action
The "Launch Action" task is updated to automatically propagate Arguments for a chosen action.
Custom Accounts Improvements
Alloy now includes new ability to add custom accounts via the "Settings | Accounts" using special factory actions. Such actions, suitable for accounts creation, must have an account-factory tag.
IFTTT
Alloy now includes new sample actions to trigger IFTTT events using a Maker channel. You can explore those actions to learn how to support similar service of your own. Or you can just quickly trigger an IFTTT Maker event by launching a "Trigger Event" action from your workflow.
Other Improvements and Fixes
- Improved Stop task to support "Finished | Cancelled | Failed" activities.
- Added inspection of "HTTP Element"'s
- Fixed improper handling of arguments for "Launch Action" task
- Fixed inability to download Microsoft OneDrive's files placed to folders having spaces
